Meet Halifax Top, a richly textured blend of 80% 20.4-micron Shaniko (Merino/Rambouillet) wool and 20% neps. The natural cream base is flecked with brown, purple, and green tweed fibers, giving this top beautiful depth and dimension.

Blended from traceable U.S. Shaniko wool, Halifax Top combines premium softness with a classic tweed look. It’s ideal for spinners, dyers, and fiber artists seeking a sustainable, American-made base with visual texture and a soft hand.

Blended well (3 times) in our prep line, this wool fiber is easy to draft and spin.
